Judy has always loved creating art from an early age. After retiring as an educator in the
Clarksville Montgomery County School System, she finally had the time to devote
to painting. Watercolor became her
medium of choice, because of the transparency and movement of colors. Judy enjoys attending classes and workshops
to learn new and exciting ways to paint with watercolors and in using a variety
of materials to create texture. She is
currently exploring the different ways of using mixed mediums in her paintings. Painting for Judy is always emotional and she
hopes the viewer will also have an emotional connection to her art. Judy is proud to say she is a member in the
Downtown Artists Co-Op in Clarksville.
The Downtown Artists Co-Op allows her to network and paint with other
local artists. She is also a member in
the Tennessee Watercolor Society.
Judy also enjoys making jewelry. Making jewelry is like painting to Judy. She enjoys finding the right color combinations to use in her jewelry. She uses a lot of natural stones and earth colors in her jewelry. Judy thinks that using a little bling by adding Swarovski crystals makes the jewelry exciting to wear.
